Grading Frequently Asked Questions

How much does grading cost?
We keep it simple. You pay:

  • The grading fee charged by the grading company (PSA, SGC, or Beckett)

  • Your share of shipping and insurance

  • A Ring Sportscards handling fee of $5 per card, or $4 per card if you grade 10 or more cards in the same submission

Because we combine submissions from multiple customers, you get access to bulk pricing that saves you money compared to submitting alone.

How long does it take to get my cards back?
Turnaround time depends on:

  • Which grading company you choose

  • The service level (bulk, value, regular, express)

We’ll walk you through options and estimated timelines before we send anything out so you know what to expect.

Should I grade my card?
It depends on your goals. As a rule of thumb:
If the increase in value from grading exceeds the grading cost, it’s usually worth it.
Grading is also a smart choice if:

  • You want to ensure the value of your card with an official, unbiased assessment

  • You prefer to have your card slabbed and protected for your PC (Personal Collection)

  • You’re thinking about reselling and want to avoid debates about card condition

We’re always happy to review your cards with you in person and help you decide.

Which grading companies do you work with?
We submit primarily to:
PSA
SGC
…and also handle submissions to Beckett upon request.
